Gazprom says Siemens' turbine documents leave questions
MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- Gazprom has received the documents from Siemens and Canada to return its turbine after repairs, but has more questions, the company said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Monday.
"Gazprom has received the documents of the Canadian authorities from company Siemens. Gazprom has studied the documents but is forced to state that they do not remove the risks and leave additional questions," Gazprom said.
According to the company, the effect of the E.U. and U.K. sanctions on return of the turbine from repairs and on repairs of other turbines used on the Nord Stream pipeline remain unclear.
The company sent a request for more documents and clarifications to Siemens, the company said.
Media reported that after multiple requests Siemens sent the export license on repairs, maintenance and transportation of the turbine issued by Canada to Gazprom.
